STC is very pleased to announce that its bench just got much deeper with the onboarding of Steve Keppler on June 1. It’s part of a leadership transition that will see current STC CEO Dave Osiecki ease into retirement over the course of 2021. Steve will join P. Sean Garney, previously Vice President of STC, as new Co-directors.

Steve has over 29-years of transportation experience, beginning in the field as an investigator and inspector for the Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Motor Carriers (predecessor to the FMCSA). In addition to his fieldwork in conducting investigations and roadside inspections, he worked in various positions within the agency on truck and bus safety issues, including policy, regulatory and research positions both in the field and in Washington, DC. Keppler served for several years as the Department Director for Vehicle Systems at the Intelligent Transportation Society of America before joining the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance for 16 years. During his last six years at CVSA, he served as Executive Director and focused on working with industry as well as federal, state, and provincial jurisdictions to advance various enforcement, regulatory, policy, and advocacy issues relating to truck and bus safety. Before joining STC Keppler was employed with the Intermodal Association of North America as its Senior Vice President of Member Services.

Steve brings tremendous experience and a sterling reputation to STC and has already hit the ground running. Feel free to reach out to him with any questions or for a chat about how STC can help you at skeppler@scopelitisconsulting.com
