In December 2019, the third and final ELD compliance date will be here, requiring most fleets and drivers to use the technology. In early 2019, STC delved deeply into FMCSA’s new compliance audit procedures related to HOS and ELD records and developed a unique training seminar.
Designed to prepare fleet safety managers for both on- and off-site ELD audits by FMCSA, the seminar also instructs fleet safety and compliance staff on how FMCSA investigators conduct their ELD investigations. The course covers:
- 10 actions investigators take before starting an audit
- Seven steps they take during the audit to uncover HOS violations on ELD records, and
- Eight actions used to determine whether ELD records are accurate (or false).
