On October 8, 2019, STC Vice President P. Sean Garney presented a 2.5 hour seminar to motor carrier safety representatives eager to begin preparing for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administrations Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, set to be implemented January 6, 2020. The “lunch and learn” was well attended and included conversation. During the seminar, motor carriers were provided detailed instruction on what will be necessary to register, upload data, and query the Clearinghouse for driver drug and alcohol violation information. Attendees also engaged in a discussion about policies, procedures and training that should be adjusted or added to ensure compliance.
